And heaven -- We built it with might, and We extend it wide. 47 And We made the earth a base, so how well do We lay out! 48 And We created pairs of everything that you may contemplate. 49 Therefore hasten to God; truly, I am sent by Him to give you clear warning. 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 Likewise, there came no messenger to those before them, but they said, "He is a sorcerer or a madman." 52 Have they inherited such dealings with the Prophets from their predecessors or are they a rebellious people? 53 So turn thou from them; thou wilt not be reproached. 54 yet go on reminding [all who would listen]: for, verily, such a reminder will profit the believers. 55 And [tell them that] I have not created the invisible beings and men to any end other than that they may [know and] worship Me. 56 I desire of them no provision, neither do I desire that they should feed Me. 57 God is certainly the great provider, Lord of strength and power. 58 And lo! for those who (now) do wrong there is an evil day like unto the evil day (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on (that day). 59 So woe to the unbelievers, for that day of theirs that they are promised. 60
