We have made the heavens with Our own hands and We expanded it. 47 We have spread out the earth and how brilliantly it is spread! 48 and We created pairs of all things so that you might reflect. 49 Therefore hasten to God; truly, I am sent by Him to give you clear warning. 50 And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 51 Likewise, there came no messenger to those before them, but they said, "He is a sorcerer or a madman." 52 Is this the legacy they have passed down from one to the other? In fact, they are a rebellious people. 53 So turn away from them, you shall not be blamed, 54 But go on reminding them, as reminding benefits the believers. 55 And I have not created the jinn and mankind but that they should worship Me. 56 I seek not any provision from them, nor I desire that they should feed Me. 57 Lo! Allah! He it is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of unbreakable might. 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 Woe, then, betide those who disbelieved in that Day of theirs which they are being asked to hold in dread. 60
