Therefore continue to give warning, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or do they say: A poet, we wait for him the evil accidents of time. 30 Say (unto them): Except (your fill)! Lo! I am with you among the expectant. 31 Do their minds command them to do this, or are they an outrageous folk? 32 What! They say, “He has invented the Qur'an”? Rather they do not have faith. 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it (the Quran) if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]? 35 Or have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact they are certain of nothing. 36 Are with them the treasures of thy Lord! or are they the dispensers? 37 Or do they have any stairs, climbing upon which they eavesdrop? So their eavesdropper should bring some clear proof! 38 Hath He daughters and ye sons? 39 Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt? 40 Do they have knowledge of the unseen, thus, are able to predict (the future)? 41 Or are they planning a conspiracy? So the conspiracy will befall only upon the disbelievers. 42 Do they have another god besides God? God is too exalted to be considered equal to the idols. 43 And if they were to see a fragment of the heaven falling, they would say: A heap of clouds. 44 Leave them then till they meet that day of theirs wherein they shall be made to swoon (with terror): 45 The Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them. 46 Truly, for those who do wrong there is a punishment besides that, though most of them do not know it. 47 And be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise. 48 And proclaim His Purity during the night, and when the stars turn back. 49
