The Stars (Al-Najm)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Star when it plunges, 1 your companion has neither strayed nor is he deluded; 2 Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination. 3 It is a revelations which has been revealed to him 4 something that a very powerful one has imparted to him, 5 The Lord of Strength; so he attained completion, 6 While he was in the highest part of the horizon: 7 Then he drew near and drew closer 8 until he was two bows' length away, or nearer. 9 Then he revealed to Allah's servant whatever he had to reveal. 10 The (Prophet's) (mind and) heart in no way falsified that which he saw. 11 Will you then dispute with him (Muhammad SAW) about what he saw [during the Mi'raj: (Ascent of the Prophet SAW over the seven heavens)]. 12 And verily he saw him yet another time 13 by the lote-tree at the farthest boundary, 14 Near which is the garden, the place to be resorted to. 15 when there covered the Lote-Tree that which covered; 16 His eye did not waver, nor did it stray, 17 truly did he see some of the most profound of his Sustainer's symbols. 18 HAVE YOU, then, ever considered [what you are worshipping in] Al-Lat and Al-Uzza, 19 and, another, the third manat? 20 Is the male for you and for Him the female? 21 That indeed is an unfair division -- 22 these are nothing but names which you yourselves have devised, you and your forefathers. God has sent down no authority for them. They follow nothing but conjecture and what their own selves desire, even though guidance has already come to them from their Lord! 23 Or shall man have whatever he fancies? 24 So (know that) Allah only is the Owner of all – the Hereafter and this world. 25
