The Stars (Al-Najm)
62 verses, revealed in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Star when it plunges, 1 Your companion does not err, nor does he go astray; 2 and neither does he speak out of his own desire: 3 It is only an Inspiration that is inspired. 4 He has been taught by the Extremely Powerful. 5 The Strong; then the Spectacle inclined towards him. 6 While he [Jibrael (Gabriel)] was in the highest part of the horizon, 7 Then he drew near, then he bowed 8 until he was two bows' length away, or nearer. 9 When He revealed to His votary what He revealed. 10 The heart was not untrue in (making him see) what he saw. 11 Will ye therefore dispute with him concerning that which he hath seen? 12 Indeed, he saw him another time 13 Near the lote-tree of the last boundary. 14 Near it is the Garden of Refuge - 15 (This was) when the lote-tree was covered with that which covered it. 16 The sight (of Prophet Muhammad SAW) turned not aside (right or left), nor it transgressed beyond (the) limit (ordained for it). 17 truly did he see some of the most profound of his Sustainer's symbols. 18 Have ye seen Lat. and 'Uzza, 19 And Manat (another idol of the pagan Arabs), the other third? 20 Is it for you the males and for Him the females? 21 That is indeed an unjust division. 22 They are but names which ye have named, ye and your fathers, for which Allah hath sent down no authority. They follow but their fancy, and that which pleaseth their souls; whereas assuredly there hath come unto them from their Lord the guidance. 23 Shall man have whatsoever he wisheth for! 24 So (know that) Allah only is the Owner of all – the Hereafter and this world. 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
