Al-Najm 2 of 3

۞ And many soever are angels in the heavens whose intercession shall not avail at all save after Allah hath given leave for whomsoever He listeth and pleaseth. 26 Those who do not believe in the world to come name the angels with the names of females. 27 And they have no knowledge thereof; they follow but a vain opinion, and verily a vain opinion attaineth not aught of the truth. 28 (Muhammad), stay away from those who turn away from Our guidance and who do not desire anything except the worldly life. 29 That is all they have of knowledge. Your Lord knows best who has strayed from His Path, and those who are guided. 30 To God belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, that He may requite those who do evil, in accordance with their deeds, and those who do good with good. 31 As for those who avoid the greater sins and shameful acts, except minor trespasses, your Lord's forgiveness surely has great amplitude. He is fully knowledgeable of you as He produced you from the earth, and since you were a foetus in your mother's womb. So do not assert your goodness; he is better who takes heed and preserves himself. 32
