(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
