Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
