(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
