Seest thou one who turns back, 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
