HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 while you make merry? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
God the Almighty always says the truth.
