Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
