HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 And you are lost in play! 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
