Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
