Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
