Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 Thamud, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
