Al-Najm 3 of 3
Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. (Command of Prostration # 12) ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
