(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 Thamud, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
