(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
