(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 He plunged the villages 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 while you make merry? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
