So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
