Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
