Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 Thamud, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
