Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
