Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
