Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 He plunged the villages 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 And you are lost in play! 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
