Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
