(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 Thamud, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
