Seest thou one who turns back, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
