Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
