(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
