So did you observe him who turned away? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 Thamud, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
