Have you seen the one who turned away 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
