Al-Qamar 3 of 3
Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 Who denied Our revelations, every one. Therefore We grasped them with the grasp of the Mighty, the Powerful. 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." 48 Indeed, We have created all things according to a measure. 49 And Our Commandment is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember? 51 All their deeds are recorded in the Scrolls; 52 And every small and great [thing] is inscribed. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 In a seat of truth (i.e. Paradise), near the Omnipotent King (Allah, the All-Blessed, the Most High, the Owner of Majesty and Honour). 55

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
