Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 but they belied all Our signs so We seized them with the seizing of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or do they say: "We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?" 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Indeed the wrongdoers are in error and a raging fire. 47 on the Day when they are dragged into the fire on their faces, it will be said to them, "Now feel the touch of Hell!" 48 Lo! We have created every thing by measure. 49 It takes only a single command from Us (to bring the Day of Judgment) and that can be achieved within the twinkling of an eye. 50 We destroyed many people like you (disbelievers) but is there anyone who would take heed (of Our warning)? 51 All things they do are (recorded) in the books; 52 And everything, small and big is written (in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz already beforehand i.e. before it befalls, or is done by its doer) (See the Quran V. 57:22). 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability. 55
