And indeed, warnings came to the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) [through Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)]. 41 They denied all Our signs, We therefore seized them – the seizure of the Most Honourable, the All Powerful. 42 Are the unbelievers of yours better than these, or is there an exemption for you in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say, 'We are a congregation that shall be succoured?' 44 Soon will their multitude be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 But nay - the Last Hour is the time when they shall truly meet their fate; and that Last Hour will be most calamitous, and most bitter: 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 On the day when they shall be dragged upon their faces into the fire; taste the touch of hell. 48 We have created everything in a determined measure. 49 And Our commandment shall be but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition? 51 [They were truly guilty] because all [the evil] that they ever did had been [revealed to them as such] in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom; 52 and everything [that man does,] be it small or great, is recorded [with God]. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 Firmly established in the favour of a Mighty King. 55
