Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Indeed the wrongdoers are in error and a raging fire. 47 On the day when they are dragged upon their faces in the fire – “Taste the heat of hell.” 48 Indeed, We have created all things according to a measure. 49 And Our command is but one (word) swift as the winking of an eye. 50 And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition? 51 And every thing they did is in the scriptures, 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 Lo! the righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers, 54 In a seat of truth (i.e. Paradise), near the Omnipotent King (Allah, the All-Blessed, the Most High, the Owner of Majesty and Honour). 55
