Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 but they belied all Our signs so We seized them with the seizing of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 Soon shall the hosts be routed, and they shall turn (their) backs. 45 Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 There shall come a Day when they will be dragged on their faces into the Fire and will be told: “Now taste the flame of Hell.” 48 Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure. 49 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act,] like the twinkling of an eye. 50 And certainly We have already destroyed the likes of you, but is there anyone who will mind? 51 And everything they have done is in the writings. 52 and everything, great and small, is inscribed. 53 Lo! the righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers, 54 In an Assembly of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
