The Pharaoh and his people had also received Our warning, 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Or they say, “We shall all take revenge as a group.” 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 The sinful ones will face the destructive torment of hell 47 On that Day they will be dragged into the fire faces foremost, (and told:) "Taste the feel of Hell." 48 Lo! We have created every thing by measure. 49 And Our command is only a fleeting one – like the batting of an eyelid. 50 We destroyed many people like you (disbelievers) but is there anyone who would take heed (of Our warning)? 51 All things they do are (recorded) in the books; 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and light, 54 in a sure abode, in the presence of a King Omnipotent. 55
