And certainly the warning came to Firon's people. 41 They belied Our signs everyone thereof; whereof We laid hold of them with the grip of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 [Yet] the hosts [of those who deny the truth] shall be routed, and they shall turn their backs [in flight]! 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. 47 The day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire: 'Taste now the touch of Sakar!' 48 Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure. 49 Our command consists of only one Word which is carried out in the twinkling of an eye. 50 And verily We have destroyed your fellows; but is there any that remembereth? 51 And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds). 52 everything large or small, is duly inscribed. 53 [Hence, too,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves in [a paradise of] gardens and running waters, 54 honorably seated in the presence of the All-dominant King. 55
