Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 They rejected each one of Our signs. So We seized them with the grip of one mighty and powerful. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Do they say, "We shall be victorious because we are united?" 44 Soon will their multitude be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Nay, the Hour (of Judgment) is the time promised them (for their full recompense): And that Hour will be most grievous and most bitter. 46 Indeed the criminals are astray and insane. 47 On the day when they are dragged into the Fire upon their faces (it is said unto them): Feel the touch of hell. 48 We have created everything in a determined measure. 49 And Our command is but one (word) swift as the winking of an eye. 50 We destroyed many people like you (disbelievers) but is there anyone who would take heed (of Our warning)? 51 All things they do are (recorded) in the books; 52 And everything, small and big is written (in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz already beforehand i.e. before it befalls, or is done by its doer) (See the Quran V. 57:22). 53 [Hence, too,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves in [a paradise of] gardens and running waters, 54 In a good seat, near a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
