Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are the unbelievers of yours better than these, or is there an exemption for you in the scriptures? 43 Or say they: We are a host victorious? 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their tryst, and the Hour is very calamitous and bitter. 46 The evil-doers are victims of error and madness. 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 We have created everything to fulfill a certain purpose. 49 And Our commandment shall be but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember? 51 And everything they have done is in the writings. 52 And everything, small and big is written (in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz already beforehand i.e. before it befalls, or is done by its doer) (See the Quran V. 57:22). 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 in a sure abode, in the presence of a King Omnipotent. 55
