The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The Merciful 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 He has created man: 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 Pearls and corals come from both. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25
