The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 has taught the Qur'an, 2 He created man 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 And grain chaffed and other food. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 25
