The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 Created man, 3 and taught him its pronunciation. 4 The sun and moon rotate in a predestined orbit. 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 and He has raised up the heaven and has set a balance 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 And earth -- He set it down for all beings, 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 Out of these two [bodies of water] come forth pearls, both great and small. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
