The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He has created man: 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 And the herbs and the trees do prostrate (to Him). 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 And the earth He has put for the creatures. 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 21 There come forth from them pearls, both large and small. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
