The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Merciful One 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 He created man, 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 And the herbs and the trees do prostrate (to Him). 6 and He has raised up the heaven and has set a balance 7 In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 He is the Lord of the East and West through all seasons. 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has made the two oceans meet each other, 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 21 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 25
