The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 He created the human being 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 In order that you may not corrupt the balance. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 On it are fruits and palm-trees with sheathed clusters [of dates], 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 Out of these two [bodies of water] come forth pearls, both great and small. 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25
