The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The All-merciful 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 Created man, 3 and taught him its pronunciation. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure. 8 And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 There exists all kinds of fruits, palm-trees with sheathed blossoms, 11 And also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-scented plants. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
