The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created the human being 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 And the herbs and the trees do prostrate (to Him). 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 With an interstice between them which they cannot cross. 20 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 25
